Summary of SMARTS operation for 1H of 2007
SMARTS market share is growing. On July 1st 2007 the subscribers’ base has grown to 3 816 360 people, thus it’s increased by 15.9%. Despite the strong competition (MTS, Megafon, Vimpelcom) SMARTS increased its market share to 10.5% (by 0.4%).
Market share by the end of reporting period is 9.1%.
Main financial and analytical indications:
- Aggregated profit for 1H of 2007 is increased by 29,7 % in comparison with last year data and is now 3 684 914 rubles. Sales profit 627 912 rubles. Thus, overall the profit has increased by 15.4 times.
- The tendency to lower subscriber expenses was stable throughout the year. SAC for 1H 2007 is $11, 1 and in comparison with similar data for 2006 lowered by 11,8%.
- Average monthly profit per a person (ARPU) in ZAO SMARTS is $4, 7.
SMARTS was founded in 1991 in Samara. There are 9 branches within the company structure. They work in the following regions: Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Ivanovsk, Bashkortostan, Kalmikiya, Mary El, Tatar Stan and Mordoviya. Together with its branches SMARTS is operating in 16 regions of Russia, in Volga, South and Central Federal Regions.
